Most Weekly Writing assignments will be casual and to help you work towards your major research paper in the class. The expected genre and any other requirements can be found at the top of the assignment page.
Please write in your own voice and style for these assignments. I want you to focus on the ideas at this point and not worry about writing in an academic voice/style or worry about revising and proofreading these. I ask that you use paragraphs to break up ideas to help with readability, but you will not be marked down on grammar, spelling, or writing "quality" for these assignments.
GenAI should not be used for writing these assignments in any capacity. There will be opportunities for using GenAI as part of the writing process in later stages for the research paper. But for these Weekly Writings, I genuinely want to hear your unfiltered voice and ideas, not your ideas/writing filtered through GenAI.
